Take a look to see what you can expect from our treatment and how to best support others as they participate.

  • We provide individualized, engaging, and evidence-based therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs. Our sessions are designed to be both meaningful and motivating, with a strong focus on caregiver involvement and real-life carryover.

Our virtual sessions are delivered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and are highly engaging for both children and adults. With over 8 years of combined experience providing online therapy, we bring a wealth of tools and strategies to ensure our clients receive high-quality care and meaningful progress—comparable to in-person sessions.

  • Our treatment plans are customized for the individual we are serving. Sessions will often run from 30-60 minutes. However, the duration and frequency of sessions are determined by the client/caregiver and SLP to optimize gains. Treatment is accompanied by a home program to support growth and carryover outside of the therapy setting.

  • For virtual services:
A device with a stable, high-speed internet connection is required. While phones and tablets can be used, desktops or laptops often provide better visuals and may help increase engagement. Headphones—especially noise-canceling ones—are encouraged if available and appropriate, as they can support focus and minimize distractions.

    For in-person services:
Nothing is needed beyond the client! Just bring your wonderful self.

  • As a parent, guardian, or caregiver, you want the client to be as successful as possible—and we do too. It can be hard to resist stepping in when the client is struggling, but we’ll always let you know if we need additional support during the session. Our goal is to create a positive, encouraging experience, even when that includes gently working through challenges to help build confidence.

Please help prepare the client by letting them know in advance that a session is coming and avoiding pulling them away from a preferred activity when possible.

There may also be days when we invite you to join the session, especially if it helps the client feel more comfortable or gives us insight into how their communication looks in other settings. Your involvement is valued, and your perspective helps us tailor therapy to what matters most.

  • For virtual, community, and in-home sessions, we ask that the environment be as quiet and distraction-free as possible. This might include turning off the television, clearing the workspace of toys or distractions, and asking others in the home to use a different area during the session.

At times, we may ask you to gather materials your child already uses at home so we can incorporate familiar items into therapy and make sessions even more meaningful.

  • The client may participate more successfully when they are well-rested, have eaten recently, and are in a comfortable environment. Sessions tend to go more smoothly when the client hasn't just been woken up or pulled away from a preferred activity.

  • We believe in meeting our clients where they are—each and every day. While we come prepared with a plan, our sessions are often client-led and responsive to the moment. We’re comfortable adjusting our expectations and approach as needed, knowing that not every client can—or will—engage in a highly structured session.

It’s our job to embed meaningful speech and language practice into whatever activities or conversations unfold, whether they’re planned or spontaneous.
